Aerial · Kelowna & West Kelowna · Demonstration capture

One pilot, three jobs, the whole Central Okanagan.

A development site mapped to NAD83(CSRS), a vineyard block read for vigor, an estate filmed for a listing: the same pilot captures all three, processes the data in-house, and hands you the result. Based in Summerland, a short drive south of the bridge.

Full-property orthomosaic · Demonstration captureRTK FIX · NAD83(CSRS)

South-Okanagan based · Central-Okanagan ready

Down the highway, not across the country.

Kendal Ventures is based in Summerland, a short drive south of the bridge, so a Kelowna or West Kelowna site is flown locally and processed in-house, not queued behind a city's worth of jobs in some other office. Wine country, a busy development sector, commercial property, and lakeside luxury homes all sit within a few kilometres of each other here, and every one of them reads better from the air, captured the same careful way.

ONE CONTACT

The pilot who flew it hands you the result

The person who captures your Kelowna site is the same person who processes the data and walks you through it: one point of contact, start to finish. No third-party handoff, no waiting in someone else's processing line.

ONE TRIP

A build, a vineyard, and an estate in one workflow

The same RTK capture and DJI Terra, QGIS, and Blender pipeline serves a development site, a vineyard block, and an estate listing, so a winery with a build underway, or an estate with grounds to map and market, gets it all from one company on one trip.

CLEARED FIRST

Authorized to fly before capture day

Much of Kelowna sits in controlled airspace around the airport. Every flight is planned and authorized through NAV Drone, and if your site needs additional clearance you hear about it at the scope call, never on the morning we arrive.

What we fly in Kelowna

Three jobs the Central Okanagan keeps us flying.

Kelowna and West Kelowna don't fit one mould. In a single week the work can run from earthworks to a vineyard block to a luxury listing. Here's what each of the three Aerial verticals does for a Central Okanagan client.

The Central Okanagan market

What the busiest corner of the valley needs from the air.

Kelowna and West Kelowna concentrate more building, more wine, more commercial property, and more high-value real estate than anywhere else in the Okanagan. Each one carries a job the air settles faster, cheaper, or safer than the ground.

A development pipeline that never quite stops

Get a current base map, a bare-earth surface for grading, and a stockpile number you can reconcile against the books, all from one flight. The Central Okanagan's subdivisions, multi-family, commercial pads, and gravel pits keep the land work going year-round.

Best for: developers · site contractors · gravel pits · municipalities

Wine country on the doorstep

See the whole block at once and walk only the rows that need it: a single multispectral flight ranks vigor across the vineyard. The West Kelowna benches and Kelowna lakeshore hold some of the valley's best-known vineyards, and the same tooling builds the estate tour for the tasting room.

Best for: wineries · growers · viticulture consultants

Commercial property worth documenting

Kelowna's retail, hospitality, and industrial buildings carry rooftops and envelopes that mean lifts and ladders, documented from above as organized, dated imagery for owners and their qualified professionals to review.

Best for: property owners · managers · commercial portfolios

Roofs and exteriors, without the ladders

From a Kelowna hillside home to a West Kelowna commercial block, we capture high-resolution drone roof inspection imagery: see the roof and exterior condition from above, for the owner and their qualified roofer to review. Visual imagery only, never a structural, engineering, or insurance assessment.

Best for: homeowners · property managers · roofers & contractors

Real estate at the top of the market

Let an out-of-province buyer walk the grounds before they ever book a flight: an interactive 3D twin, a cinematic flythrough, golden-hour stills, and short vertical cuts. Lakefront, hillside, and acreage estates in Kelowna and West Kelowna compete on presentation, and flat photos never match the setting.

Best for: agents · estate owners · developers marketing new builds

Every job on this page is available as a single capture, or as an ongoing program on the schedule you set: recurring progress monitoring, season-long crop scouting, or periodic property records.

Live proof · Our own demonstration captures

Real data, flown and processed in-house.

We don't fill a Kelowna page with stock imagery. Everything below is the company's own demonstration capture (a residential property, a creek-corridor terrain model, and a Summerland vineyard report) flown on South Okanagan ground and processed in-house, shown exactly as a client would receive it. The same workflow comes north of the bridge.

CONSTRUCTION

Mapping & 3D terrain

A full residential property at 0.3 cm/px delivered pixel detail across 5.3 acres, flown 100% RTK FIX with 3.6 cm georeferencing RMSE, plus a creek-corridor terrain model with steep relief. The ground truth a build runs on.

AGRICULTURE

Five-index vigor & sample report

A demonstration vineyard mapped across NDVI, NDRE, GNDVI, OSAVI, and LCI: relative-vigor maps and a seven-page plain-language report prepared for grower and agronomist review. Read it page by page, or download the full PDF.

LUXURY

Interactive 3D property twin

A residential property rebuilt as an interactive 3D twin from 6,052 images: orbit the house and grounds in your browser, the same tooling a Kelowna estate listing or winery estate tour is built on.

These are the company's own demonstration captures from the South Okanagan, shown to illustrate the workflow and deliverables available in Kelowna, never presented as completed Central Okanagan client work.

Airspace · The honest part

Kelowna is controlled airspace, so we plan for it.

Much of Kelowna and the surrounding area falls within controlled airspace around Kelowna International Airport (YLW), one of Canada's busier regional airports. That isn't a reason a flight can't happen. It's a reason it has to be planned properly. Every Kelowna and West Kelowna flight is planned and authorized through NAV Drone before the aircraft leaves the ground, and where a site needs additional authorization, that's sorted at the scope call so capture day stays on schedule.

01

Planned & authorized through NAV Drone

Before every Central Okanagan flight, the plan is checked against current airspace rules and authorized through NAV Drone. Sites closer to the airport carry tighter conditions, so we build the plan around them rather than discovering them on the day.

02

Flown by a certified pilot

Captures are flown by a Transport Canada-certified RPAS pilot working to a documented standard: RTK positioning on every flight, and ground control placed where the job calls for it. The airspace is treated as the serious thing it is.

If your Kelowna or West Kelowna site sits where additional clearance is required, you'll know at the scope call: what it means for the schedule, and what we'll do about it.

Questions & answers

Drone services in Kelowna, answered.

Do you actually serve Kelowna and West Kelowna, or just the South Okanagan?

Both. Kendal Ventures is based in Summerland and the Central Okanagan is part of our regular service area: Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland, and the benches in between. We're a short drive south of the bridge, so Kelowna sites are flown locally and processed in-house, not handed off to an out-of-town queue.

Can you legally fly drones near Kelowna airport?

Yes, with the right planning. Much of Kelowna sits in controlled airspace around Kelowna International Airport (YLW), so every flight is planned and authorized through NAV Drone before we fly, by a Transport Canada-certified RPAS pilot. Where a site needs additional authorization, we identify it at the scope call and build the timeline around it, rather than turning up and finding out on the day.

Do you cover all three services in Kelowna, or just one?

All three. The same in-house workflow handles construction and development site mapping and progress monitoring, winery and vineyard crop-health mapping, and luxury and estate property media. A winery with a build underway, or an estate with grounds to document and market, can get everything from one company on one capture trip.

How fast do I get my data back?

Flights are flown locally and processed in-house, by the same pilot who captured the site, so your data never sits in someone else's processing line. We set a turnaround at the scope call based on the size and scope of the job, and you have a date in writing before we fly.
